This is a large vintage piece composed of two separate prints. At the top is an older gentleman teaching piano to a young girl. This is known as The First Piano Lesson by the French artist Jules Muenier (1863-1934). At the lower left is "Pub. by Morris & Bendien, N.Y."
Below that is a verse titled "The Music Master: His gentle, softly spoken words Impressed her childish heart, And timidly she touched the keys, With reverence for his art." Below that is "Copyright 1915 Morris & Bendien, NY."
Both images are on top of borders of gold and mint green. The background is an off white or beige color.
It is in a two tone carved wood frame with glass, and a cardboard backing with torn dust cover and a framer label. It has a wire for hanging.
Size: The frame measures approximately 21 1/4" tall and 11 1/4" wide. The opening in the back measures approximately 20" by 10".
