Two Easter trade cards, published by L. Prang & Co. of Boston in 1880, as can be faintly seen in lower left corner. Both feature young girls, one holding white eggs and the other holding colored eggs in their arms. There is no advertising on the backs, but they do have an elaborately detailed design in cream and brown with gilt trim. They are single cards that do not open.
The one titled "Easter Gathering" has no words on the back. The other, "Easter Offering," features a devotional hymn or salutation.
3 1/4" x 5" (8 x 13 cm). Both have age-appropriate wear, including bumped corners, wear along the edges, and slight yellowing. The hymn card has places on the back where the paper has scraped off (it most likely was glued in an album at one time).
