Asian inspiration is the keynote for this lovely Trifari set, with openwork pendants reminiscent of Chinese carved stone work. Floral designs are in rich brown molded acrylic, so they're lightweight and easy to wear. The necklace is a double-chain type, with the pendant hanging from the longer chain. Shorter strand is 17-1/2 inches long and the longer strand falls to 13-1/2 inches when fastened, so you get the look of both a chain choker and a longer pendant in one piece. Pendant is 1-1/4 x 2-1/4 inches including bail. Matching earrings have identical pendants with molded earpieces, for a measurement of 1-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches. All metalwork is goldtone; earrings have lever-type clips with the Trifari signature and necklace is signed on the back of the bail. We'd guess that this set dates from circa 1970, but definitely before 1972 as the signature has the crowned T, and it’s in excellent condition. With its longer pendant and bold earrings, it’s a great addition to your wardrobe – and since it doesn’t seem to be a very common set, it’s a wonderful item to add to a collection of crown Trifari jewelry!
